CircO, Zentrum für Zirkuskünste

Das CircO-Zentrum für Zirkuskünste ist ein Zentrum für alle Arten von pädagogischen und nicht-professionellen Zirkuskünsten. Es bietet Kurse in Akrobatik, Jonglage, Äquilibristik, Luft-Akrobatik wie Tuch und Trapez, Tanz und anderen Disziplinen. Außerdem bietet es Fortbildungsmöglichkeiten zur Zirkuspädagogik für Pädagogen, Nachwuchstrainer oder Lehrer.
Das CircO ist zudem das Büro der LAG Zirkus Niedersachsen, die seit 1997 über 40 Kinder- und Jugendzirkusse miteinander verbindet.
Es arbeitet eng mit der Stadt Hannover zusammen. Hier bildet es den Knotenpunkt für die praktische Zirkusarbeit im CircO Netzwerk der Stadt Hannover.
Die LAG Zirkus und somit das CircO sind Mitbegründer und Mitglieder in der Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Zirkuspädagogik. Wolfgang Pruisken, Leiter des CircO, ist Vorstandsmitglied in diesem Verband.

The “CircO – Zentrum für Zirkuskünste” (Centre of Circus Arts) is a centre for all kinds of pedagogical and non-professional circus arts. It provides courses in acrobatics, juggling, equilibristics, aerial acrobatics, dance et al.. You can also take courses and formations in the field of pedagogical circus-work. Furthermore it is the office of the “LAG Zirkus”, a regional asociation of more than 40 youth-circus groups in the Land Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony). It works closely with the town Hannover in order to establish a professional circus school in the future.

The LAG Zirkus is a member of the “BAG Zirkuspädagogik”, the national association of youth circuses and non-professional, pedagogical circus-work in germany.
