As-Sirk As-Saghir is a voluntary Palestinian group that puts on circus shows for needy kids. It was founded by a group of volunteers who wanted to do something for their community. Before 2004, different groups of Palestinian were performing live entertainment to help kids in need and gathered together a group of young performers for this project, and in 2004 most of these group combined to build a new group, which was called "As-Sirk As-Saghir", by the support of Cabuwazi Circus from Berlin-Germany, and the Project Hope Organization in Nablus.
Currently there are around 9 volunteers in As-Sirk As-Saghir, most of them students at the University. As-Sirk As-Saghir is mostly male, but has some female performers. This is unusual but done in a culturally acceptable manner within the contexts of our conservative society. They are an amateur troupe became semi-professional due to a lot of real experience.
